The Beginning of the Story
First of all, thank you all for your lovely comments! I appreciate all the support! Sorry it’s been so long since my last post, life tend to catch up with me. Toby was happy to hear that he had so many fans!
I thought I would post about Toby’s post-op. I only met him a few times before the surgery, and honestly, at this point I can’t imagine him any differently than he is now. His recovery was a speedy one, a few sleepy days with a pain patch in the beginning, but then he catapulted back to health. His surgery was smack dab in the middle of the North Carolina blizzards, so Toby’s outside time had to be pretty short in the beginning for fear of falling in the ice. But, in the end, I was the one who ended up falling on my rear all the time! Luckily, after a while for him to heal, and a pair of Yak-trax for me, we were able to enjoy the great outdoors. Toby LOVES the snow, too bad he doesn’t get any here in Georgia.
He’s done very well, better than I expected him to so soon after his operation. He was going up and down stairs like a champ, climbing into the bed, and even reaching my top drawers to shred my clothes. 🙂 He’s a joyful boy, and I’ll have more to tell next time!
